Beeline Pickups, LLC Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Beeline Pickups, LLC, a platform to assist you in carpool management and the school dismissal process. “Beeline” refers

to Beeline Pickups, LLC, and its Affiliates, which shall mean subsidiaries, parent companies, joint ventures and other corporate entities under common ownership. We may also refer to Beeline as “We” or “Us”. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy

Policy have the meaning given them in our Terms of Use.

We provide this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal

information we receive from users of any of our application(s), and/or various websites (the sites, and applications collectively, the

“Services”). This Privacy Policy applies only to information that you provide to us through the Services.

By accessing any of our Services, you agree to the terms of the most recent version of this Privacy Policy. By agreeing, you authorize

us to collect and use your information as outlined below. In the event you do not agree with any modifications made to this Privacy

Policy, your only recourse is to cease use of our Services and, where applicable, delete the application(s). Please see the section

entitled “Managing Your Personal Information” to request the deletion of your profile.

FERPA & COPPA​

Beeline complies with FERPA and works with schools to provide the information they need upon request. We firmly support the fact
that school districts should and do own and control their students’ “Personal Student Information”. We take great efforts to collaborate
with customers to provide them the ability to access, modify, and delete this data consistent with FERPA, COPPA, and all other
applicable laws.

OUR POLICIES CONCERNING CHILDREN​

The Services are not intentionally directed to children under the age of 13 years and and we rely on the School to provide notice and

obtain parental consent and any other required authorizations for all student information we collect. Please contact us at

contact@beelinepickups.com if you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information of a child under 13 without proper

consent so that we may take reasonable measures to promptly delete the collected personal information in accordance with FERPA

and COPPA regulations.  We will never target advertisements to students or sell students’ personally identifiable information to third

parties for any purpose.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT WHEN YOU USE THE SERVICE

Personal Information

We define “Personal Information” as information that identifies you or can be used to contact you. Like most websites and online

services, certain information is automatically collected when you use our Services, visit our Site, read our emails, or otherwise

communicate with us. For example, information about your device and its software, such as your IP address, browser type, Internet

service provider, platform type, device type, operating system, date and time stamp, a unique ID that allows us to identify your

browser, mobile device or your account, and other similar information. Personal Information can include things like, but not

exclusively, your name, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number, etc. Since the use of Personal Information is necessary

to improving the quality of our Services, we collect that information in a variety of ways:

  1. Information Provided by Schools.  When Schools register for our Services, they provide certain information about the School, Parents, and students, such as Parent’s name, email address and phone number, student ID, classroom and other information maintained in the School’s information systems such as bus route number, teacher name, and information about student absences. We also receive information from Schools and Parents when they send us a message, for example by email or by submitting a help request through the Site. The School may also provide us information about Educational Professionals such as name, email address and cell phone number to take advantage of some of our Services.

  2. Information from Third Parties: We may use service providers to provide you with a superior experience and they may share information they collect about you with us. Personal Information you provide to those third parties will fall under their respective privacy policies. If such a third party provides us with your Personal Information, we will handle it in accordance with this privacy policy (but be aware that the information retained by any third party is governed by their privacy policy, not ours).

  3. Information from You: When you register for our Services you provide certain information such as School name, student’s name, point of contact name, physical address, email address and phone number. In addition, to use the Services you are required to provide your student’s name and various pick-up details. Your location may also be collected. If you should discover incorrect information while using our Services, please contact us at contact@beelinepickups.com and we will assist in correcting the information.

  4. Viral Components: If you refer another user to us, we may collect and retain information you provide to us such as the name and e-mail address of the referred individual.

  5. Details of transactions you carry out through the Service.

  6. Details of interaction within the Service, including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, web logs and other communication data.

  7. We and your School may also place advertisements on the Site. We collect information related to these advertisements such as who clicks on them, the School they are affiliated with and the time and date the advertisement was clicked.

 
Student Data
Through the course of providing Services, we may have access to personally identifiable information about students (“Student Data”) that is provided by you. We have access to Student Data only as requested by the School and Parents and only for the purposes of performing Services on the School’s behalf. The type of Student Data we collect will depend on how the School uses the Services.

We receive Student Data only from the School and Parents. We never interact with the student directly. Student Data is confidential. We do not use Student Data for any purpose other than to provide the Services on the School’s behalf, in accordance with contractual agreements with the School. Our collection, use, and disclosure of Student Data is governed by our Terms of Use, our agreement(s) with the School, the provision of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and all applicable laws which relate to the collection of Student Data. Please contact your School if you have questions about the information they provide us and their use of technology service providers like Beeline Pickups.

 

Non-Personal Information

In addition to Personal Information, we collect a variety of data that could not be used to identify or contact you. Data are used to enhance the quality of our Services and other services. Here are some of the forms of non-personal information we collect:

  1. Interaction Information: We collect and retain information relating to your interaction with our Services. For example, we may monitor the length of time you use the application(s), the number and type of activities you participate in during a particular session, etc.

  2. General Use Information: We also collect general information about your interaction with our Services such as your browser type, referring and exit URLs (if applicable), click, domain names, pages viewed, the amount of time spent viewing a particular Site page, the time of such activities, etc.

  3. Certain Non-Identifying Information would be considered a part of your Personal Information if it were combined with other identifiers (for example, combining your zip code with your street address) in a way that enables you to be identified. But the same pieces of information are considered Non-Identifying Information when they are taken alone or combined only with other non-identifying information (for example, your viewing preferences).

  4. Additionally, aggregated information about Service usage can be collected and used for the purposes of improving the Service, research and analysis. This Privacy Policy solely applies to Beeline Pickups.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION ABOUT YOU

We may collect information about you in any one or more of the following ways:

 

Information about Users

When you use our application(s), Beeline collects and stores certain profile information that you provide. The bulk of this information is collected and stored through the use of web and server logs, which are files on our servers that record actions taken on our applications and websites.

Cookies and Automated Information Collection

When you use our applications, we collect certain technical information in order to

  1. analyze the usage of our sites and services which allows us to improve the service,

  2. provide a more personalized experience, and

  3. manage advertising.

 

We and service providers acting on our behalf use server log files and tracking technologies to collect and analyze certain types of technical information, including cookies, IP addresses, browser types, browser language, referring and exit pages, and URLs, platform type, the number of clicks, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, application state and the date and time of activity on our website or applications, and from a mobile device, we may collect unique identification numbers associated with your device or our mobile application, mobile carrier, device type, model and manufacturer, mobile device operating system brand and model. In some cases, we will associate this information with your user ID number for our internal use.

HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

The user information gathered as a result of using the Services is primarily used to provide you a better user experience when using the Services. By installing and allowing the Services you are granting Beeline permission to gather and use the user information available. In general, We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve our Site, Services, and their functionality, and to communicate with our Schools and Parents. For example, we may use information collected from you in any one or more of the following ways:

  • to register your Beeline account and allow use of the application(s)

  • to administer the applications

  • to provide technical support and respond to user inquiries

  • to prevent fraud or potentially illegal activities, and enforce our Terms of Service

  • to support requirements by law

  • to notify users of updates

  • to solicit input and feedback to improve Beeline products and services

  • to resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems

  • to analyze trends and user traffic and gather statistical information

  • to inform users about new products or promotional offers

 

One important use of your information is communication. If you have provided your email address to Beeline, we’ll use it to respond to (i) customer support inquiries.  We may also send promotional email messages (“Promotional Communications”) directly or in partnership with parties other than Beeline.

 

You always have the choice to stop receiving Promotional Communications. When you receive Promotional Communications from us you will have the opportunity to “opt out” by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the Promotional Communication you receive. Please note that we may still send you administrative messages regarding Beeline applications, including, for example, administrative confirmations, and notices of updates to our Policies. For more information on your messaging options see “Managing Your Personal Information” below.

SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

Beeline Registration. When you register through the Services and submit your Personal Information to join the Services, Beeline shares only the information necessary to for User to use the Services.

Any information provided by Parents may be shared with Schools and any information provided by Schools may be shared with Parents to the extent authorized by the School.

We will never target advertisements to students or sell students’ personally identifiable information to third parties for any purpose.

 

We rely on Schools to provide us direction about how we can collect, use and share your information. You should contact your School if you have questions about their direction to us or the School’s use of technology service providers like Beeline.

 

Aggregate Information and Non-Identifying Information. We may share aggregated information that includes your Personal Information, Non-Identifying Information and Log Data with third parties for industry analysis and demographic profiling and to deliver targeted advertising about other products and services.

 

Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Services, to provide the Services on our behalf, to perform tasks, (e.g., without limitation, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Services) or to assist us in analyzing how our Services are used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. We may also provide Personal Information to our business partners or other trusted entities for the purpose of providing you with information on goods or services we believe will be of interest to you. You can, at any time, opt out of receiving such communications.

 

Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Beeline or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.

TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP

In the event that there is a change in the majority ownership of Beeline (e.g. sale, merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, etc.) we reserve the right to transfer your user information to the new owner or assignee in accordance with applicable law. In such an event, users will be notified of the transfer of user information to the best of Beeline’s abilities and users will be subject to any changes in privacy policy.

MANAGING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Information We Receive

If you use any of our applications, Beeline will be able to access and store profile and other information about you as described above. The categories of information you share with us will depend on the application(s) you access.

Opting Out

If you elect to use our Services and you would like to review, update, correct or delete that personal information, you may do so by emailing us at contact@beelinepickups.com and include:

  1. your first name,

  2. last name,

  3. e-mail address

in your email so that we may identify you and your profile.

We will respond to your request within thirty (30) days. Please note that certain records, for example those pertaining to payments or customer service matters, will be retained for legal and accounting purposes. If you have sent or posted content (if applicable) on the Service, we may not be able to delete it.

 

Opting out of Promotional Communications

You can choose to opt out of receiving additional promotional emails from Beeline by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in any such e-mail. Please note that once we receive your request, it may take an additional period of time for your opt-out to become effective. Your “unsubscribe” or e-mail preference change will be processed promptly, and in no event longer than 10 business days.

 

Note that if you opt-out of our Promotional Communications, we may still e-mail or communicate with you from time to time if we need to provide you with information or if we need to request information from you with respect to a transaction initiated by you or for other legitimate non-marketing reasons.

INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS

Your information may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, Beeline transfers Personal Information to the United States and processes it there and your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

PRIVACY POLICIES OF LINKED SITES AND ADVERTISERS

Beeline may contain links to other websites that we do not control. We make no representations about and are not responsible for the privacy policies of such other sites nor do we specifically endorse the content of those external websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those external websites to familiarize yourself with how those other websites may collect and make use of your information.

SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

Beeline is very concerned with safeguarding your information. Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure. Although we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data while it is being transmitted; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we employ administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access.

 

We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored “personal data” (as defined in applicable state statutes on security breach notification) to you via email or conspicuous posting on the Services in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, insofar as consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

We will amend or vary this statement at any time and with immediate effect by updating this web page and it is your responsibility to periodically review this Privacy Policy page.
